ഇന്ന് ഭൂമിയിലെ മാലാഖമാരുടെ ദിനം <3 മെയ് 12, INTERNATIONAL NURSE DAY യുടെ ഭാഗമായി പെരിനാട് പ്രൈമറി ഹെൽത്ത് സെന്റർ നേഴ്സ് രമ്യ ചേച്ചിയെ ആദരിക്കുന്നു ✌
കഴിഞ്ഞ നാല് മാസമായി, വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ സാന്ത്വന പരിചരണ രംഗത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ട് വരുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ പെരിനാട് പഞ്ചായത്തിൽ The Gulmohar Foundation തുടങ്ങിയ പരിപാടിയാണ് #palliativeSaturday. പാലിയേറ്റീവ് കെയർ നേഴ്സ് രമ്യ ചേച്ചിയുടെ നേതൃത്തത്തിൽ നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഹോം വിസിറ്റിൽ എല്ലാ ശനിയാഴിച്ചയും ഞങ്ങൾ പങ്കാളികളായി. എല്ലാവരും സ്നേഹത്തോടെയും കാരുണ്യത്തോടെയും പെരുമാറി തന്റെ ജോലി ഇത്രയുമധികം ആത്മാർത്ഥതയോടെ ചെയുന്ന ചെയുന്ന ചേച്ചി വളരെ ചുരുങ്ങിയ കാലം കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സിൽ ഇടം നേടി. UN Volunteers കഴിഞ്ഞ മാർച്ചിൽ വനിതാദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ചു നടത്തിയ മത്സരത്തിൽ ചേച്ചിയുടെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളെ പറ്റി ഞാൻ റിപ്പോർട്ട് കൊടുത്തായിരുന്നു, ആ ഇന്ത്യലിലെ TOP 5 Online Volunteer ആയി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു, അതിനു കിട്ടിയ സമ്മാനത്തോടൊപ്പം TGF Volunteers ഇന്റെ സ്നേഹവും ചേച്ചിക്ക് സമ്മാനിക്കുന്നു . ഭൂമിയിലെ എല്ലാ മാലാഖമാരെയും ദൈവം അനുഗ്രഹിക്കട്ടെ! .................................................................................... " LAMPLIGHT OF KINDNESS" A nurse is the symbol of dedicated service to the cause of suffering mankind.She is the ministering angel who, like the " Lady with the Lamp" spends her life in the service of the sick and wounded.Whole-heartedly here I introduce the beacon of affection, Mrs. Remya. Hailing from a poor family she came across a lot of troubles and sacrifices.Breaking all those bitter situations she joined for BSc.Nursing which was her dream.She worked hard and passed with flying colours. And initially she joined a nearby clinic with just three rooms and one ward where one room was allotted to the bedridden patients.There she met Dr. Suresh which was a turning point in her life.Along with him she went for field works taking care of the poor for which other co-nurses where hesitant to.This had a great impact in her life.After the doctor retires , she resigned and joined the Palliative Care Unit .There she met her better-half , who was the palliative care driver,and then her greatest well-wisher. With the big support and aid of Perinad Grama Panchayat, Area Secretary SL SAJIKUMAR and NHM, the Palliative Care Unit helps the families of poor patients to cope up with their daily needs like food, medicine, wheel- chairs etc.She visits every bed-ridden patient on a regular basis and built a good professional as well as personal relationship between their families too.There are twenty- two asha workers who accompany her to the houses of people suffering from various diseases.Everyday they together visit the patients and provide them with the essential help.She is always ready to render any help to the patients even at the nights. The most striking fact is that there are many cancer patients in the Panchayat who are treated without letting them know , they are the preys of the deadly disease.Since it is a free service , many of them were reluctant to accept the service as they felt humiliated when others look upon them.Many of them had a bright past, but are now ignored by their children regarding them to be a burden and they lead a lonely life.For all of them , she is the " Lamplight of Kindness" . Moreover on every Saturday, The Gulmohar Foundation members accompany the palliative care team for field work. She know that ' Everyday She will Touch a Life, or a Life Touch Her's.Nurses dispense Comfort, Compassion and Caring without even a prescription.The feeling that she is living for the welfare of others sustains her and boosts up her in her selfless deeds. Her life is indeed a dedicated life. SDG's achived by her action: Goal 3.
